Will my PC Run this? What CPU/GPU to get? What settings? System Specifications.

Hello guys, im new to arma & i want to get the game but i dont know if my laptop (to be) can run it. Here are the specs:

@Ghost Warrior: If you look at the minimum requirements for this game you see that these specs you show are way above what is needed so it will run better, yes, but be prepared that a laptop wants to save as much power as possible so that the battery will last longer, it will do this by reducing the graphic quality so you have to change this in the settings to make it run on max detail and speeds

it should run very well for a laptop. of course the mobile gpu's aren't that powerfull compared to desktop ones but then again the screen is often lower resolution. Dont expect stellar performance on high graphics settings, that's just not possible with notebooks.

I consider to upgrade my GPU from GTX 275 to GTX 570.
Im not sure if this upgrade will be good enough for my computer to handle big battles with alot of AIs.
My CPU will be the same and afraid it will be a bottleneck .

What do you guys recommend?

The 570 a great videocard! Im thinking of this kind of upgrade myself sinds i got a 285GTX and am looking forward to more frames. My resent upgrade from E8600 s775 to i7 950 s1366 didnt give me a superior gain in performance so next for me will be a new GPU

i cant tell you that exactly but the 570 is allot faster so if you have 20/25FPS now your have 40/45 after the upgrade i think

hello gentleman, it's been a few weeks since I posted. I Had some isues with my FXF 5870 card. The game ran great at times most settings on very high and some things on normal with AVG FPS rate 0f 49-54 with trails on bench#8. MY card was giving me some issues and i was getting random blank/black screens, freezes, and other visual issues. My HDMI port was not working.

I called newegg for a RMA. For the same money I could now get a 6950 for 279-10-30 rebates for a total of 239.00 My 5870 cost me 279-40 rebate 239.00 almost 6 weeks ago. So I went with a powercolor 6950.

Is the 6950 a better card? With the same settings I am only getting 44-46 FPS on trails with #8. WHY should the FPS not be better. I know 44 is very good for ARMA but WTF.

Your CPU is fine, switching to a X6 won't make a difference
