New Forums: Feedback thread - Bugs/Suggestions here please.

first there are 2 types of advanced search (each has own tab you can switch inbetween)

Not sure if this is by intention or simply a bug, but there seem to be more then two.
When you use the quick search feature on the top-right side of the page, you get sent to http://forums.bistudio.com/search.php. In that page it looks like you have selected "Search Single Content Type". But when you click on "Search Single Content Type" again, you get sent to http://forums.bistudio.com/search.php?search_type=1. This to me looks like the more suitable advanced search then the one ending with .../search.php

EDIT: There are also two Forum Rules links on the top. Both when logged in and out, and after agreeing on the terms. It's good to get reminded of it though

erm that's what i speak about, alongside normal quicksearch
there are two types of advanced search

1. Search Single Content Type http://forums.bistudio.com/search.php?search_type=1
2. Search Multiple Content Types http://forums.bistudio.com/search.php

number 1 is the old search you were used to in vB3

... double entry about forum rules i already explained some posts back, that will be fixed later

My mistake there, Dwarden. I misinterpreted the selected search as the darkest coloured one.

if You use "Mark Forums As Read" (on top) then it will clean the 'social group notification'

please realize this mark as read EVERY single post anywhere (both forums and groups) as read

explain as it so far works this way for everyone including myself

as in marking forums as read only (did it 3 times now) doesn't remove the notification about the groups....and if i am sort of special, it is hardly my fault

i really don't know how to explain myself further though

It appears that "Request a read receipt for this message" has been turned on by default for all PMs now, which imo is not necessary, and even a nuisance, unless you're actively trying to determine whether or not a poster has read your PM for whatever reason (permissions for example).
