Thread: How do you completely uninstall ArmA?

  1. #1
As the tiltle says, I want to start afresh with arma but when I unistall the game there are still files remaining.

I have tried removing from "Start menu" and "Add or remove programmes".

    Any suggestions???

    VISTA
    go to
    %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Arma

    WINXP
    go to
    %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Arma

Erase all files after running the normal uninstaller.
Allthough i do wonder that what you're trying is neccesary to fix a problem.
Also if you used some mod installers to install 3rd party addons in the program files/arma folder, the folder itself will most likely not be removed if you don't "uninstall" the addons too.
Other then that i wouldn't use too much profane language on this forum if you want to get decent help.

    Thanks for the suggestion Yoma.

P.S. I'm not swearing at any prospective helper, the swearing is aimed at how ridiculous it is that ArmA leaves so much behind after "uninstalling".

They should have an option to clean out the user directories. They keep them so you don't lose your user profiles and other data.
