I doubt that. Not much point in releasing videos of an earlier state of the game to the public.

Something I sort of wonder is, what will the damage system for the vehicles look like? Will the damage be unique to the area being hit? Or will it be the same damage skin/model each time the vehicle is hit anywhere?

I agree with sk3pt. Most likely intentional, for storyline purposes.
As far as the damage system, I hope that there are seperate damage models.
They are not that hard to do and many games have seperate damage models.

Saw the RUS video too - weapons and battle sounds were as weak as in ArmA. It seems like they recorded sounds from airsoft guns - PK sounded sooo weak. Visually looks good. Did the video seem choppy to anyone like it was recorded on a lagging system?
When people go to shooting ranges they don't put ear-muffs on just because they think the muffs look kewl and spacey. If you empty just one 30rds 5.56mm clip without ear protectors I guarantee you 50% hearing loss for the rest of the day. In the video, as in ArmA now, weapon sounds are half-muted.
ECS or Red Hammer weapons addons had great sounds - it can be done. I hope something is done about the sounds in ArmA2.
Lets just hope BIS can go as high as possible with the quality bar.
Once it's out the mod community can then take it to another level, in a few months we'll probably be playing a totally different looking/sounding game.
With more addons than you can poke a stick at.

Found this article a few weeks ago, and it just popped into my mind a few minutes ago.
It turns out that the U.S. Military is replacing the M203 grenade launcher with the M320 grenade launcher.
I'm linking the Wikipedia article below. Hopefully BIS knows about this and will include the M320 into ArmA 2. If they don't, the modding community is there.

No, you can see in that one video from Chernarus-Defecne-Forces, that the blades already have the characteristics like being under "heavy g force" when fully spinned-up and the Helo still standing on ground.Originally Posted by (De_little_Bubi @ Mar. 07 2009,23:38)
So there is not such a "dynamic system" which alters that upon different flight situations/burdens ....
BIS just watched at pictures/videos from flying Hinds and assumed that the curvature of the blades are the "default-state" for every situation on the hind, which is clearly wrong.
Marek Spanel: [...] Every single element is well taught so that it fits together. So this is a significant change, because with ArmA 1 it was just random, really.
We made some units because we had to. There wasn't much passion from our side with the first ArmA, to be honest. This time it's different. (Videogamer.com Interview
Please BIS: Arma2 must become a TRUE MASTERPIECE - Not a middle-heavy catastrophe!
Oh god, that MIDI-esque conversion of the original OFP theme just cracks me up everytime... sounds horrendous. The movie itself was, however, good fun. Good to see the GP-series of grenade launchers copping the ole M203 touch... we can only hope the machineguns receive the same treatment... and that PKM sound needs to change.
Agreed.Originally Posted by (CameronMcDonald @ Mar. 08 2009,14:31)
The original theme song from the original OFP beats the rubbish version from ArmA 1 any day.
Its exactly the same song from OFP, it hasnt even been edited. Just added stright into the video.Originally Posted by (CameronMcDonald @ Mar. 08 2009,13:31)
Its exactly the same flashpoint songs could be as a mini blow to codies as everyone reconises OFP music.
The OFP tracks in the videos havnt been edited at all*
