I noticed the following from another site:

"NOTE: It's important to note that using any cheat code or modifying the code for
Operation Flashpoint will activate the FADE feature. This will result in reduced
weapon accuracy, problems loading, until eventually your computer will not even
recognize the CD in your drive. Once this happens, you have to uninstall the
game, delete the OFP folder and clear the entry from your registry in order to
play the game again."

Has anyone experienced this and does it apply to a mission unlocker download?

Nope. I was concerned by that comment in the other web-site too, but then I saw a thread here where an OFP developer confirmed that if you use any built-in cheat code you will not activate FADE. (Which is logical; why would they build in cheats that would do that?) On the other hand if you use some third-party trainer it could happen.
