Rhodite 3 Posted July 4, 2008 For some time I have been wondering what other areas the community have yet to explore in terms of communication and tools. We have many news sites and variations on that theme. I pondered on the idea of a community site, but my time is limited so I settled for going with what is a current trend. Blogging. Community Blog The focus of the blogging shall be on our beloved ArmA and OFP and of course ArmA II, feel free to digress as long as it is on that theme. I think this will should you guys choose to use it, be a great place to see and read what people really think on various subjects such as modding, scripting, mission editing and so on. Please note however I reserve the right to edit or remove any posts should they be offensive or break any common sense rules with regards to data on the internet. In short post your bloggs not your hatemail  If you have any comments or thoughts on this whole idea please do let me know. Thanks Rhodite

.kju 3239 Posted July 6, 2008 It seems anyone can register and once Rhodite has confirmed your account, you are ready to go crazy and post.
Rhodite 3 Posted July 6, 2008 It seems anyone can register and once Rhodite has confirmedyour account, you are ready to go crazy and post. Â Exactly, with spam registration an ever danger, vetting the registration is comon sense. Blogging is many things, the aim of this particular blog is for folk to blog about arma and ofp and so on. So it has a focus on something we all enjoy.
Rhodite 3 Posted July 15, 2008 For those of you who have registered and have wondered why you cannot post imediately - I have to authorise you (prevents spam accounts) On another note also pertenant, the site has been down a few days due to a technical problem, this has now be resolved. if you have registered and need to check if you have been auth'd just click the admin button and you will be presented with the option to create a blog etc.
.kju 3239 Posted July 15, 2008 i'd plan to post soon about project OAC on there
Rhodite 3 Posted August 25, 2008 Hi folks, It's been great to see quite a folk register to blog on this site. However as of yet no one has posted. So I am guessing you are either shy/waiting for someone else to post/or simply cannot due to my ineptness! I suspect possibly the latter so if you have registered, and cannot seem to post PM me here as my email address has been unreliable recently. Cheers!
.kju 3239 Posted August 25, 2008 Well I was/am planning to share some ideas about the OAC development. However sort of too much other things going, OAC is not a the phase to be that interesting for many people. In general though at least to me its like another page to check. The page is very well done, look nice, yet it like without many people using it, you dont need the advanced features like search or categories. So at the end of the day I think at least at the BI forum (any probably on news sites as well) there should be news about new entries there as well. If people can only read about new stuff happening on the blog page, I fear the user numbers will be just too small. So in short try to get a few dedicated and good bloggers to make the start and promote the page based on that.
