Unable to make/edit profiles

I've just re-installed after intalling vista and found that (along with crysis) I can't make a new profile for myself on ArmA.

I can click on New and it brings up the create profile screen, but I cannot change the name or enter a squad URL, it won't even let me highlight, or place the typing cursor in the textbox.

Even so, I've tried to create a profile called Player1 (or whatever is the default name for a new profile). Once I've created it, if I go to the menu where you can select the profile you want to use, I cannot see any in there, even though I've just created a profile.

This is rather annoying as it is stopping me setting up my system properly (have to set everything up every time I start ArmA)

Can anyone help?

you may not have full access to where arma places the default files (just a guess)

try changing your command like start to

"?:\INSTAL FOLDER\arma.exe" -nosplash -cfg=arma.cfg -profiles=Profiles

this places your profiles into the same ArmA folder as well as the arma.cfg
