Maybe you should PM a dev to make sure they know about it. It seems pretty serious.

Hi, the Canarias are placed in Afrika and the "tipical spanish" house
wouldn't fit right in that part of Afrika; (...) seems that the most common small 2 floors
house is more close to a Jerez's house, Malaga... Granada... and
those southern places; but i could be wrong... (...)

A quick search confirms your suggestions.
These are pictures from Valverde; the capitol of El Hierro.
hey wipman, didn't know that you are spanish , i', from Bilbao, but now i'm living in Zaragoza

Regarding the houses, you are right, small two floor houses, some kind of mix of colonial houses and colored ones, will post a few pics from Tenerife when i arrive at home.

Here you can see some pics of Garachico, a city on Tenerife
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garachico

And also here you have a lots of pics of canary islands

Does anyone have more detailed images of the island and/or architectural structures of similar style?

Hi, some photos of buildings and places closer to the ones that they
must have down there in the Hierro's island:

La Gomera (other island of those)
    El Hierro (roads map)
    Canarian Plants

And well... that's all what i've found that don't be in german; but i
still thinking that the "most common" house style down there must
be like the tipical southern house, 2 floors, flat roof, maybe an
internal patio and balconyes... and well, "like the rest of the south".
Maybe some canary man will see this thread and can or want to
help you with more detailed and specific info. Let's C ya

Hi, Im Canary, and about buildings, there are 2 main tipical buildings in every canary island. I can help better than other users, I hope that version of a canary island of Bohemia get better than Tenerife "Koljiyev" island of OFP, but in any case, was great! But was wrong whit villages, but for a Canary is great cause we can do our own mods (of rebel forces agains spain )

1º The tipical Canary house (not spanish house, remember we are not spanish, we are in africa, we, canaries, have a base african culture, some english, spanish and purtugoise influence and a heavy south american influence, and actually westernized) , are made of wood, volcanic stone (toba), basalt, mud ( for "arab tiles"), straw (for interior cover of ceiling) and lime for outside. Outside, tipical canary house is white whit volcanic stones in the wall and red old tiles.

And the second tipe of builind, the most common, is the selfbuilded venezuelan stile. A degenerate style arrived whit returned canaries from venezuela migration, that is a very poor stile made of blocks, sometimes painted, whit two big saloons (garage doors) and sometimes too, half builded, whit no tiles, everytime whit roof.

Look both tipe, tipical old house, and buildings

I hope that can help you.

this looks to be an awesome project. i hope it is still going. i have alsways been very impressed with all of Opteryx's islands. so far Avgani is still my favorite over all. for me it almost gives me shivers every time i play in it and wonder around. it truly has a real ambiance of an Iraqi town, and yes i know, i'm here now on my second tour.

    keep up the great Opteryx.
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made so and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. -John Stuart Mill (1806-1873)
