AAC Stu 0 Posted February 6, 2008 hey again, i have got the Gold edition of Arma now, and all i want to know is... why cant i get "hardware acceleration" to be enabled?? it was enabled in the 1.06 demo of Arma, but i cant get it enabled on the full copy??? fasad 1 Posted February 7, 2008 I expect that your sound is provided by a motherboard based sound codec, which means there is no hardware to do any accelerating. Codecs use the CPU to do the work instead. "Real" sound cards have their own processors, which can improve game performance a little bit by taking the load off the CPU.
