The Berzerk map with the two islands, at night with clear sky, but with more light posts and fires near bases and no nightvision. Landing a CRRC and taking a base with a small squad is so much more fun when you can actually sneak up through the woods and bushes without being spotted a mile away. Would be awesome too if bases had searchlights with human or automated control.

Most player solve the "playing in the dark without nightvision"-problem with raising up the "gamma"-value in the video-option. So the result is these players are divided into cheaters (with gamma-correction) and the rest...

But you are right: to play in the night without NV gives the game suspence and a special atmosphere.

This reminded me of a Joint operations typhoon rising TDM map where over 100 players faced off on two islands. It was impossible to fly over in helicopter as bullets flew everywhere and all you could was travel by boat and usually if it wasn't bullets that got you on the boat a final 57mm rocket shot would. Anyways this would be awesome.

There already is a Berzerk map with two islands. I have played it many times sometimes at night. It is called Berzerk Northern Bases.

The file name is something like "ch64_berzerk_v1.23_north_bases.sara.pbo"

There is also a capture and hold (C&H) that is similar.

Berzerk tends to get played on public servers and is good if you want an hour of Battlefield style PvP madness.

Some of the locked/hidden servers play it at the start of night of playing as a mad half hour or even hour. The locked and hidden servers is where everyone plays now it keeps the riff raff out ***
