Thread: Restarting a remote server

  1. #1
Lo folks, I'm trying to restart a remote ArmA server for which the usual operator is in bed. I can access the main directory of the server using Leech FTP, but clicking on the exe itself does nowt. Anybody know how to run the .exe file over FTP?

i'd say you're out of luck here dude. afaik there's no way to run remote programs through ftp.

an Admin utility like TCAdmin will do the trick

VNC is the best tool by far

VNC is a huge leap in trust and security. Try Serverdoc, which simply gives an interface to stopping/starting/restarting a single process

I made a basic web based control panel for my Clan server. It simply uses PHP to run batch files, that then runs the exe. You can also kill the process to stop the server.

It's nothing special and isn't really intended for release, but if people would be interested I can release it.

We done similar, php webbased admin, that can start/stop, but also edit the configs, select them, make new configs, edit banlist, search the net.log, upload missions, and select them, etc. etc.
Great thing is, it works for OFP and arma server, with one script. (both running on same quadcore)
