Hook up on switching between OFP-editor and Win98 Desktop

Hi,

after reinstalling my system entirely, OFP (1.3) doesnt let

me switch between the Editor and the Windows Desktop/Explorer any longer ?

Any idea why?

My Elsa VicII 16MB card has the newest drivers and flashbios

installed, DX8.0(a I guess) came along with the OFP original.

All seems to be as it has been before reinstalling.

How much RAM does your system have? How large is your Windows virtual swap file size?

Not sure if DX on the CD is version 8.0A or 8.0. You can always get the newer 8.1 from Microsoft's site or by using Windows Update.

Stonewall, what do you mean by "doesn't allow"? Does it crash, or does the Alt-Tab sequence not do anything?

Try holding down the other Alt key, it may be that the key switch has gone bad -- I've seen that before. You can also try other key combinations to escape from OFP, such as the Windows key and Ctrl-Esc.

RAM: 256MB SD-133, SWAP 800 MB should be enough.

When switching it just ends up in a black screen. I cant get anywhere forth or back from it again.

I was used to be able to switch between my text-editors --for my meanwhile large Command and Control-scripts I am working on (For Arty, Helo, Fixed Wing, Boat, Inf, Tank, Mech Inf and whatever I might think off in differnt formation sizes)-- and the OFP editor quickly.

What the #### had my previous installation that my actual

is missing ? Older drivers ?

I'd reinstall older video drivers if you messed with them in the past few weeks, and if that doesn't work, I'd try reinstalling DirectX 8.0a or 8.1.
