OFP doesn\'t run after upgrade to XP?

Okay, I uninstalled OFP a month ago and upgraded to windows xp home. I finally got around to reinstalling today and have this problem. When I start the game, it will run but, it gets to the point in the intro where it says "Near La Trinte" and then just stays there. Eventually I have to just alt tab out and close it. I'm running windows XP, DX8.1, p3 866, GF2 mx 400. Anyone have any ideas?

Get the lastest official Detonators (V23.11) and install those. See if new audio drivers are out, and install those if necessary. Then run the Preferences program and click on Autodetect.

The 23.11 are bad ones, having issues with via drivers and hardware, additionally i expirienced a dropdown in image quality, went back to 22.80 that work fine with XP.

Still doesn't work =( Gets to "Near La Trinite" and then stops.

I upgraded to WinblowsXP Proffesional
I never had any problems
nor did i have ANY in Win98SE
