Desert Camo'd M4A1

Well this is my first attempt at editing in ArmA, so its not all that impressive, but i hope you all enjoy it.

For right now the only way to install it is to directly replace the original game files, but as long as you backup your weapons.pbo hopefully nothing should go too awry.

KNOWN BUGS: As of right now the carrying handle on the regular (i.e. crewman/pilot) M4/M4A1 does not have camo. THIS PACK WILL PUT CAMO ON ALL M4s, with the exception of the Acog and 203 sights on the grenadier M4. As of right now all the M4s share the same texture file, so there is no way to limit it to the silenced only (i just took screenshots of the silenced because i thought it would look best in it.) Sorry for the confusion.

right now im working on sprucing up the Kalashnikov's a bit, aswell as other Russian Weapons, after that i might work on a Woodland Camo M4 or desert camo SPR

Great textures, but it looks like this addon is not working with the europe version of ArmA.

I installed the .paa files correctly. I see the intro of the game, but befor i get the main menu my game crashes and It shows an error message.

Whats wrong?? Please help me.

hmm as I'm not familiar with the European version, i can't say i'm exactly sure. If anyone knows if the file structures are different in the .pbo version, that would be helpful. What tool did you use to unpack/repack the .pbo?

for unpack i used "pbo_decryptor15"

for repack i used "WinPboPack"

hmm one of my friends used winPbo and yeah he ended up screwing up his .pbo when he tried installing lennards M107. I would recommend cPbo (link is in the readme) it does both and alot easier. and about the ammo box, unfortunately i have no idea how to do it, if you or someone else knows how to, your free to do it as long as you ask for my permission.

i noticed that the 3 .paa files do not replace anything in the unpacked weapons .pbo in the European version. does any one know the solution to this?

Is your game in a different language, I suppose for some reason the files could be named different, and are you sure your putting it in your weapons/data not just weapons folder when you unpack the .pbo? One of my friends got the Euro version online and he said it installed fine. Like i said, i have no idea if the Euro versions would have a different file names as i have the North American Atari version.

sorry i should have been more clear in the first post, but it will essential replace all the M4s, unfortunately they all share the same texture file, so theres not a whole lot i can do at this time. However the M16 is not affected.

would be nice to have this in a pbo because you still want a mix of camo and no camo m4's. i hope someone with some config talent can do this.

when i tried to use cpbo i get an error message NO PARAMETER. No idea what this means...

when you were installing cpbo? you should get that, it should say something like No parameters, do you want to associate cpbo with all pbo files. Just click yes, now that just means all .pbos will be opened with cpbo.

And to those wanting a .pbo addon version i'm open to letting anyone do this, just PM/Email me before you do it.
