Does the game consider the weapon carried by a unit on a guard waypoint? Will an infantryman with a rocket launcher be treated the same as an infantryman with a rifle when on a Guard waypoint and being considered for response to a call for combat support?
I'm having a real hard time getting an AT soldier to respond to a request for combat support from soldiers friendly to him who are being harassed by an M1 Abrams. The one time he did respond, he turned back and ran away when he saw the Abrams' gun turn around and train on him.
Sooo...
I tried putting 6 AT soldiers in a squad together and putting them all on the same Guard waypoint.
They seem to be just as likely to not respond when they could easily toast the Abrams if they just tried.
I just want AT soldiers who will cross a town to engage armor at whatever edge of town they approach from. The guard waypoint should be an easy way to achieve this.
