Thread: M107

  1. #1
    Hi, just working my way through the campaign. I notice the latest patch added a few things including the M107.

    Does this become available later in the campaign or is it just for custom missions?

    I'd say only custom missions there.
    You need to add the "special ammo box west/east" to find the M107 and the VSK94 in it.

    Surely there is a way to use addWeapon

    addweapon command is used in mission editing. Unless you want to decompress the campaign and add the weapon in, its only for custom missions.

    I appreciate this is a very basic question but how do I add an ammobox in the mission editor?

    Side = Empty

    Choose Ammo from the unit drop down box, then choose which ammo box you require.

    As Fekin says,but you must place a Unit(as player) down first before it will allow you to place an Empty item down

    Again with this misconception. No, that's not true. You can place as many empty objects as you want without a playable unit being placed. The problem is that Empty is only shown in the list when the Control field of a unit is Non-Playable, but every time you create a unit without a player placed on the map the Control field defaults to Player - you must select Non-Playable to access the Empty side.

    However the editor really insists you place a player as it gives you an annoying message every time you place an object when there's no player present and also tries to make already placed units players when you edit them. So for convenience's sake, you should just make a playable unit right away if there isn't one.

    Then apparently my game is broke-dick, because that doesn't work for me, you HAVE to place a "PLAYER" unit down before you can place empty units.
