    Hi there all does anyone have a close air support script available similiar to the on that BAS used ?

    What i meant to was

    Is there a Close Air Support Script Available simliar to the one BAS used in their mission where you can call in the Choppers/ Aircraft and they provide you with support for 5 mins and then return to base

    i have been trying to get a 'proper' cas script going over a perios of time now, off and on, but so far i've run into quite a few limitations in this:

    my goal was to have aircraft (fixed and rotary wing) behave realistically, going from a prebriefed holding point, over the IP and then continue on to the target and egress. i also wanted them to actually fire their weapons accurately instead of just spawning munitions where i wanted them but it seems that is very hard to do because right now they are simply not able to engage targets on their own properly. only way to do it is to assign specific targets per aircraft and even then they often do not engage but make a few passes over the target first suicide IRL if you ask me . also having fixed wing AC drop bombs with any kind of accuracy seems impossible. i worked on a script for a while to 'simulate' a ccrp delivery but i never the desired accuracy (which most likely was due to my limited math skills (and because of the weird flight path of the bombs).

    but if anybody managed to do something like that in either Arma or even OFP i'd be very interested to see how they've done it.

    While done for OFP, MandoAir should work fine in ArmA. Check mandoairstrikeauto.sqs for Close Air Support.

    Check there also all the mandocas scripts (MandoAir2), a bit more complex, but much more reallistic to have a set to air units waiting for CAS assignments.

    Thank you so much for the reply i appreciate the help very much

    If i may ask can i use all the sripts in Arma as is or do i need to make modifications ( Sorry i dont know much about scripting)?

    If you could help me it would be much appreciated and if i could ask one further question how can i get the AI to call in a CAS strike?

    Bigbomb.sqs spawns "LaserGuidedBomb", which is not present in ArmA, you should change it by the bomb type of the actual harriers in ArmA.

    For AI calling for support, just check what is done when player's shift click on map to call for it, do the same when conditions are met for AI to call for support from another script, or a trigger.

    When i use your Airstrike script the bombs miss the target by 200m infront of the target.. like the planes releasing them two early and the accurcy is set to 1.0 any ways to change it so it works please

    Hey guys im fairly a newbies at this scripting stuff. So does anybody have a link or can tell me how to get this working in my missions. I put all the files in the particular mission that I am creating but I am not sure what to put in the markers/units or how many markers i need.
