Thread: ADF troops (WIP)

  1. #1
Hi all, i was on the OFP adf modding team and thought i would just port over the textures to arama.

Just having problems with a couple of things

    - Chest rig is annoying anyone know how to make it look it connects and also the boots abit out of my texturing skills anyone got any pointers

    - What tools do i need to edit the model (i used OFP-ELITE and it keeps crashing)

    - Any tools out there like "Txtswap" which allow me just to edit the texture lines so i can make a new PBO.

Oh also like the thank the maker of the Norwegien troops for majority of my templates (and i am using the same model) and Ranger Bob for the textures if ya still alive

@ IDF Godzilla that is DESCAM mate my cams are called AUSCAM which is basically Australian Woodland (bush)

Sorry Col.Faulkner the vest has been fixed (i must of done it late last night), but as for the boots how do the boot pattern on the template.

Also how can i make the textures say on the model when i change the pbo name (i use txtswap in OFP but i don't know if ARMA has a similar program)

looks like an error in your hex-editing
You have to make sure that you don't have more or less letters than you had before. So adjust your file and folder names so that the number of letters stays the same.
I also made some bad experiences with copy/pasting paths, when I typed it all in one by one it worked though.

    Hope that helps.

I use one called DF HEXEditor, was pretty much the first thing I've found when googling.

I usually screw it up when I edit the .p3d for the first time but completely redoing the paths usually fixes it for me.

If you want you can send me the file and I take a look into it.

Hey Peanut, those look nice, but the pattern itself needs a bit of tweaking - in AUSCAM the green/brown dominates, not the tannish lighter colour. Might just be Armed Assault's engine though, similar to how the lightest colour on the ACU seems to dominate the darker shades.

Everyone tempted to post another inane/useless/whogivesatoss topic in the A3 forum - here.
