    what kinda language will be used? personally i think it would a half and half of russian and english. this is something avon lady brought up and thought it would be interesting to talk about check out this site she posted here

    Well.. assuming more than one country colonizes it. it will be just like the earth.. if your colony came from say Britian.. then you would have british laws and speak english.. from spain.. etc..

    makes sense to me...

    I think it would be more of a science type place....not many civilians there......

    If any type of "permanant" settlement does take place on the moon.. I would think it would be an international group of scientists.. I dont think there is much that could be done on the moon to make anyone want to LIVE there (visit maby, but not live)...

    I think that if the Earth became overpopulated, and if we had the technology, we would start putting people on the moon.

    There might be different national colonies in different locations, American, Russian, German, etc.

    I would like to visit the moon, it would be cool to see the Earth from way out there and jump around in 1/6th gravity.

    Mars would be the most ideal place to setup a colony. Use the moon as a giant refuse/waste site

    we could populate it with our criminals and declare it a "state" belonging to earth and they have to pay taxes.....they would riot and declare it to a kingdom.

    this would lead to a short star-war/indepence war and in the end we would have a new evil empire we could bitch about instead of usa.
