ofp wont start because i have dx9 is there a simpler way to solve this other then installing dx8 again?

The game works with DX9 so it's not the cause of your problem. By the way it's not possible to uninstall DX unless you use some unofficial tools.

You need to tell us more about your systems spec's and what exactly happens when you try to start the game.
    I hate it

Quite strange, its not DX9 since all of us have it and OPFR runs with no problems...
Maybe its some new video card/driver issue or less likely but still possible a sound one .

edit: I just did a search and found some matching errors but no real solution, try to remove addons (if you have any) and if that doesnt fix it reinstall the game .

Hmm strange.. It sounds like you've got a new computer so the drivers Dell used might be not be the best.

Make sure you got the latest version of DX9 (DirectX 9.0c) and get the latest drivers for your gfx card from the nvidia site.

WTF is up with your desktop, meanwhile?

Everyone tempted to post another inane/useless/whogivesatoss topic in the A3 forum - here.
