For a long time now with testing of alot of different driver versions (and both reference drivers from nvidia aswell as asus drivers etc) I find OFP a black & white adventure when playing nightmission.
Problem is that everything seem to be in without color, grass, bushes, vehicles etc got no color what so ever, even with maximum color vibrance ON (which boosts colors alot in daytime missions).
Lucky for me it seem that everyone else I know that has nvidia based cards have the same problem.
Any solution to this except buy radeon 8500 or something ?

Maybe this is a feature, because without proper lighting, you really can see things in black & white only. Never noticed that on a dark night while you're outside ?

It is a special feature for Geforce 3. In reality you can see only black&white too.

Eh sorry there but IRL you do still see colors even if their vague, why not make it a possible on-off feature that the player can choose from ?

Birkoff, you can see things coloured on a dark night without a decent light source?
OK: The human eye may be able to realize colours, but the brain cannot recognize them (or so - biology is lightyears away from me now). Or: Yes ... smoking certain things gets you to see colours at night time,too :-).

The Retina is covered with tiny receptors which pick up the intensity of the light falling on them, and convert this light into signals which are processed in the retina, and then transmitted, via the Optic Nerve, to the Brain.
The receptors are of two types: Rods and Cones.
The Rods are sensitive only to intensity, and not to colour, but work in very low light levels, which is why night vision is strictly a black and white affair.
The Cones detect colour as well, but only in good light, and as you see from the diagram, there are far fewer Cones than Rods."
