Thread: wich copyprotection will arma use?

  1. #1
i just read about the article in gry-online on ofp.info.
they said that they installed the preview version of ArmA and it used starforce copyprotection. i hope this is only a special security option for the preview version and not included in the final version.
starforce-copyprotection gave me some of its nightmares after installation of silent hunter3. i got massive problems with my dvd-readers and burners.
i hope they dont use this most hated and customer terrorizing shit for the final version!!

There are some other examples, but WHY! WHY do you people keep going on about this! WHYYYYYYYY! *** ***

They probably used it on the press-demo because a leaked press demo would be a very bad thing for BIS to happen because the game isnt finished yet so alot of people would buy the game after trying the leaked version (Which doesnt give a good look into ArmA...)

No, read it carefully, it says that the demo uses a 'like starforce' protection but nothing specific is mentioned. But anyway, would a search for Starforce have been so hard?

LOL! I can just imagine what goes through Placebos head when he sees this.

1: Placebo have been telling people all the time now that it's the producer who decides the copy protection

2: He's also locked lots of topics because discussing this is against forum rules...

Just a fact for you guys...some gaming magazine actually meant that fade from OFP was the most brilliant copy protection out there, and they meant it was a shame it's not more common (don't know if any other games use it).
