Activating units

Is there a way that i can make a unit only appear when a trigger is set off without using scripts?

I want an explosion to happen in the sky when a unit passes into a certain area. I was creating a mine in the air which had max dammage, but its set off straight away. I tried setting the trigger up to activate the dammage on the mine, but it had fallen to the ground.

Use the camcreate command to spawn a mine in the sky when the scipt is activated and setdammage to 1.
