Activating Triggers

What needs to be typed into the condition section for a trigger to be set off by a single unit from a group?

I need to know cause ive got three helis flying towards the land, and i want heli2 to be blown up and the camera zoom in. i was using the setdammage command to destroy it, but it was zooming in on heli1 cause it set the trigger off.

Is this the best way to do it, or is there a better way to simulate a heli being hit and destroyed mid-air?

Group the trigger with the heli2 using F2 (group). What you do is that you make the trigger and after that, select F2 and drag a line from the trigger to the unit (heli2). After you've done that, double-click on the trigger to open the trigger-window and choose activation-mode. As you can see now, you have four new and different modes (unit present, group present, leader present and so on... can't remember). Choose the appropriate choice and hopefully it's the right chopper that's now triggering you're scene.

Thanks cactus.

Thats worked. But i now need more of an explosion, because the heli just crumples and no explosion is seen or heard. Could i use a mine in the cargo or something?

Maybe you could do something similar? GetPos the chopper, camcreate one (or two) shells at that position which will "collide" with the chopper and creating a nice explosion. Just be sure to keep the other choppers out of the way smile.gif

It might work, but ive no idea how to do any of that yet cause im still quite new to this! How do i find the choppers position where i want him to be hit, and do i need to create a script for the explosion? if so how?

Should be enough to do this:

shell1 = "Shell73" CamCreate GetPos Heli2

Shell73 can be switched to Shell125 or HEAT125 if you want a bigger hit or if a single 73-shell don't bring the chopper down
