Thread: Config.bin Config.cpp problems

    Now this sound's promising But this topic seem's to be written with some sort of an enigma machine,I.E what do i do with download from "flashpoint ru".what do i do with Blackblood's ccp.Someone from bletchley park care to decipher this for me

    Ok,i gather from the lack of reply's this thing is on a strictly need to know basis.Kind of top secret,but if one of you "agent's" out their that are in the "know" could blow their cover and explain how i implement what lines to were in my custom Y2K3 config i would be eternaly greatfull The thing is i have played with the replacement res config and the dieing anims are good.

    I cpped the config.bin with binview if i remember correctly, you can probably find it at OFP.info in the utilities section.

    It is not a conversion problem afaik, at least i dont know any better (or cant remember...)

    WTF Now i am realy confused!
    well, first you get your orginial config.bin
    Use binVIEW to make it a .cpp
    change whatever you want
    use CPP2BIN to make it a config.bin
    Tadaa! it works, i always do it like that


    (altough CPP2BIN is a little picky on what i wants to convert, so you might want to test it every x number of changes, because if you change your whole config and it doesnt want to be converted it will take a looooong time before you figure out whats wrong )

    Ok iv'e got it sorted ***A nice helpful lad called pappy boyington gave me precise instructions on what to do!

    The only problem with binview is that it can't restore the original #defines. If you step through the commented configs instead, you get a much more useful overview of how the pieces fit together. Except for CfgMovesMC. Heaven have mercy on the poor suckers who wander naively in there.

    Well, my config works prefectly though, and it is converted to a bin without a problem, altough i might have copied the Defines section from another config, like i did with some other parts...
