Great stuff, what stuff do you use to capture video - get it on PC etc?

@Tion. When inspiration hits i will direct another OFPE movie. Probably a night/sunrise motiv:)
@ofpforum. Yep, the master version is somewhat better but 440MB (impossible to host atm)
@Zorb. Yep, the xbox is connected to video-s video-in of my gfx card on a pc. I capture in full PAL. RAW caps cost around 1GB per 30 mins or so, so i have to make a nice little trailer with heavy compression to keep it downloadable. A good music line together with the movie is always a very good thing. This time i tried to cut the movie according to the music theme at some points. It works but hey, that Barber Adagio theme is just awesome by itself:) First i had the idea to use the house version of this theme but then i thought, No the classical version would even make more impression. I myself am also impressed by the effect (and not because i did it, but because ofpe is such an awesome game and of course the music is great also)
PS: My other vid 'lighthouse' was downed 1100x from hi bandwidth provider. They were not pleased with the 35GB datatransfer. I had to pay. No prob, but it made me a bit more careful with the releasing of vids:)
New music clip Max Qubit - Stars | OFP:Elite's Battle at Le Port 60.000+ views, 9/10 rating (mission editor) | Soundclick
Max, just exactly how many AI are those....?![]()
Nice video, though in the later bits I didn't really get the feeling the hundred+ people I saw at the beginning were all present... too quiet.
Too bad you cant host it, oh well, i really want to fix my xbox now...Originally Posted by (maxqubit @ Feb. 28 2006,21:42)

@Placebo. Thx for the tip. I will look into it. (edit: and as i said from day 1 i touched OFPE, the greatest respect for you BIS guys)
@Codarl. You are right, i counted them and it is 80+6 versus 80. But of course most of them end up dead. I had the impression about 20-30 of friendly units survived so it means 120-130 units dead, scattered around Le Port.
Edit: See actual download links in my sig
Edit: @ ofpforum, a better version now in my sig (i can't do more, the source material is not better quality)
Awesome. Didn't appear to slow down too much when there just milling about but when they start shooting I noticed it slow a bit, but not as bad as I though it would be. So your probably right about the balistic calculations sucking up power. Woulda been neat if you put in a heli to see an areal view of the battle/carnage. And yeah a night time or dusk/dawn battle would look spectacular since the tracers are much more visible. Oooohh or a massive tank/heli/plane/any other vehicle you can think of battle would be quite nifty.![]()
Good stuff Max. Good stuff indeed.
Thanks mate, im going to show this to everybody and force them to buy it!Originally Posted by (maxqubit @ Feb. 28 2006,23:15)

A higher quality vid of 'Lighthouse' is now available if interested. See the sig.
Coming very soon. 'Landing' trailer. If you are interested in waves and working lighthouses check this one out (bring a bucket, you could be seasick:)
Anyway, i finally found the approprate music to go with it. Btw, the video is rather dark but that was the nature of this mission. As usual, the hero dies in the end:)
Keep an eye on my sig.
