I've played quite a few games on xbox live, and so far I've been very impressed.

I'm glad I've picked the game up on release as I've never played the PC version and so I've been learning the game on live with quite a few others. I'm sure later on hosts may not be so tolerant of people who aren't sure what is going on. So for me its been a slow learning curve, but once it all clicks its wonderful.

The most I've played with in a room is around 12 players, and was smooth. I wouldn't say completely lag free, there are a couple of hiccups here and there, but for the most part it was very stable. I think the person hosting was from Holland and had a higher upload speed on his broadband, as most other servers seem to be 8 player.

If you have a low number of actual people playing in a lot of the maps there is the option to make up the numbers with AI bots. This I found worked very well, as long as the person who was the squad leader knew what they were doing, you could organise these bots to gun on the vehicles for you etc. Also should another human player join the game they just take over from an existing bot, therefore allowing people to join games whilst they are in progress without ruining the flow.

Some of the best games I've played have been the Blitz map on the Hold game type. In this one team have to attack an Island with helicopters and take the flag for 3 mins whilst the other defend. With a lot of players is like something out of apcolapse now.

Also Pilot Down on Team Mission is great, both teams searching for a downed NATO helicopter crew. Some very tense play if you find yourself in the desert with no vehicle and can hear helicopters flying over head.

As someone mentioned in the review thread, a lot of people were just talking over each other on live which is annoying. Then again some times people weren't talking enough and all the attacks were uncoordinated. Also as mentioned was the fact that you can't tell immediately who is talking. Though one way around this is to press start and go to the players screen, then whenever someone talks a little icon to the right of their name lights up.

I have a couple of questions that you more experienced Op Flash types might be able to shed some light on:

    - What is the difference between Group Chat and Side Chat? I notice the game normally defaults to group chat, but you can normally talk to everyone on your side.

    - If you are the squad leader can you delegate for some of the AI bots to be controlled by another player?

    - How does the coordinate system work. I can do a "Where are you" and get all the response back, but how does FG19 say (can't remember there exact format) translate to a position on the map.

    - You can command the AI bots to target other people on your side, where would this be used?

    >>>Side chat has to do with the Army you're a part of. Group Chat would be everyone in your group. The rest of your side wouldn't hear you.

    - If you are the squad leader can you delegate for some of the AI bots to be controlled by another player?

    >>>On the PC you can divide up your group into teams. Highest ranking player in a team guides the team. Not sure whether he can then issue orders to the rest of his team or not. Never tried it.

    - How does the coordinate system work. I can do a "Where are you" and get all the response back, but how does FG19 say (can't remember there exact format) translate to a position on the map.

    >>>On the edge of the map you should see Letters and Numbers. Read Down and Across to find the grid being referenced. You may have to zoom the map out to see the Letters and Numbers. Not sure.

    - You can command the AI bots to target other people on your side, where would this be used?

    >>>Interesting. Not sure. Maybe it is just to make friendlies aware of other friendlies. I doubt that they will fire on friendlies, even if targeted.

First off 1.Side chat is for talking to every one one your side. Group chat is for talking to every one in your group/team/squad what ever you want to call it, Every one under the command of your leader or if your the leader, every one under your command.

2.No idea, in the PC version we didnt have join in progress.

3.well you got numbers running up the map, and letters across the bottom. just find FG follow that up in a straight vericle line, and also find 19 and follow that from the side in a straight flat line. where they both cross path is the rough location. Maybe some one else can explain that a bit more clearly?

4.Dosent have any use, must just be how BIS coded the command system, i dunno.
