That's it? That's all he had to say? How many seconds did he play this game anyway?
Where is the comment on the mission editor, multiplayer, graphics and the rest of the sounds other then voice acting??!
The only thing I see is that he complains on one specific mission and how long it took to make the game.
Where the heck is the reason you hated it?! All I see is a mix of negative words!

I say poor journalism, if you can even call it that

He obliterates work and is soo fast, thats problably why he did such a lousy work, i think he should quit his current job and dedicate more to what they claim he actually does well, cooking .

I tried really hard to like it and kept promising my son that underneath the poor gfx lay a great game, but with so many FPS out there that not only LOOK better but PLAY better, my faith in the game quickly vanished.

I remember when Codies had massive kudos with both PC and console releases, but how they had the nerve to release this is beyond me.

Guess that reviewer isn't the only one who don't like realistic gameplay.

But seriously lifespan 5/10 hmm.. I don't know what they mean with that but if it is the hours of gameplay you'll get with the game it is quite sad that this review made it into the magazine.

Just read it now (the review or should i say trolliew).

The guy is pompous s0b , hes outright slandering other mags saying they dont have taste of whats right or wrong and accusing them that they said what they said so just to get their name on the box of the game .

On top of that they've placed OFP in the genre of shoot'em ups ... wtf? Doom 3 is shootem up so is quake and BF2MC might be but OFP is definitely not a shoot'em up!!

They just picked a wrong reviewer, they just saw the press kit and thought ("oh, some military shooter, let's give it to our resident FPS guy").

Any credability that reviewer had must have been extinguished by that "reveiw". That goes for his editor as well. I say "review" because every paragraph of that entire "review" all he did was carp on about "four years". There was absolutely no critique of the game. At the very least, a magazine owes it to their paying readers to give an overview of (any) the game and to detail the good and bad elements.

Looking at the other scans, the magazine seems obsessed about it's competitor. If Xbox World had said "In the real world, breathing in and out is a good idea if you want to live", guaranteed ***XBMs response would be "don't breath, it's way over-rated. We've stopped breathing and we feel greatro6856uirnjfgruitwat... ... ... "

The entire "review" smacks of a small child throwing a tantrum because a) They don't understand it. b) They have no desire or patience to understand it.

What it comes down to, is that the reviewer (and by proxy the magazine) can't review games in the context of their genre. They've labelled OFP:Elite as a "shoot 'em up" for God's sake.
