    Boomtown's, and Gamespot's JUNE reviews are pretty much identical in content, the difference is that the gamespot writer is a n00b pwn'ling who got his arse handed to him by the real boomstick.

    And where is that band that so vauntingly swore, That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
    A home and a country shall leave us no more? Their blood has washed out their foul footstep's pollution.
    No refuge could save the hireling and slave, From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave;
    And the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph doth wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

The Xbox version that lately hit the shelves does not quite match its PC-brother released in 2001, but two campaigns, dozens of single missions and very good MP abilities make Operation Flashpoint: Elite a real pearl as well.

    In the beginnig the player is only a grunt in bigger team but the further the campaign goes on the more responsibility you get. You'll get to do anything you imagine from being a squad leader to flying aircraft or commanding a tank. The two different campaigns present the world in two different ways and this brings excellent variety to a game that already on its own is versatile and greatly executed.

    In the world of Operation Flashpoint life is cheap and movie-like romantic fights for your loved one waiting at home are only a memory. You learn to fear every enemy and excellent environment design creates a tense atmosphere that could be sold on the market in 1kg pieces. The Xbox controller doesn't fit in the best possible way into this kind of game, where speed and accuracy have to be top class. Sometimes the controller needs too much tinkering but mainly the gameplay is smooth.

    Operation Flashpoint: Elite captures the feeling of war better than any other game. Purely as a game the pack is worth a 10 but small technical problems reduce it by one point.

    He seems to be saying that the tense atmosphere of the game is very heavy, or that it is like cocaine, very addictive! lol

However, if you don't have a PC and have never played the game, then it's an essential purchase. With a bundled mission editor and Live support, the game has months of longevity, even without the Red Hammer campaign. Operation Flashpoint is the Aristotle Onassis of videogames. It may not be the best looking Sugar Daddy in the world, but it still is The Daddy: an experience that's rich, powerful and with more boys' toys than you can shake a stick at: guns, tanks, helicopters, jet fighters... As such, it'll keep managing to attract the beautiful people: the people who know that beauty isn't just skin deep.
