I've only just noticed that the price has increased. It's now Ł26.99, when it was officially priced at Ł17.99. Can anyone shed any light on the matter, or was it a rather embarressing mistake by BIS.

In regards pricing I am afraid you have to contact the publisher and/or distributors.
Which price is correct: to my best knowledge it's SRP: Ł29.99 GBP, $39.99 USD and 39.99 Euro (with some online stores selling it with some discounts).

The most realistic war game is operation flashpoint.
The initial price might have been a discount for pre-orders though..
