Thread: Multi player won't work.

  1. #1
Everytime GameSpy launches OFP my graphics get all weird (triangles and other shapes) and I have to quickly exit the game or it will simply crash. The game works fine under normal conditions.
I was also wondering if there was a way to configure my Sidewinder Precision to play with flashpoint.

Here is a description of my system:
    OFP vers. 1.42
I'm using WinXP Pro (firewall was disabled/enabled without changes).
    Cable connection.
    19in monitor
    Radeon 8500
    1.33TB
    512MB of PC2100 DDR (1 stick, CAS2-2-2-5)
    40GB 7200RPM, 60GB 5400RPM both ATA100
    DVD, CDR

Thanks in advance for the help,
    Sam

You might try ASE and see if it works.

Nice app but same problem here! The game will launch but the graphics will be all messed up! I'm not sure whether or not it has to do with the definition but right now it's set at 1024*768*32.

Ok. Does this graphics hassle only happen when starting a Multiplayer game? I suggest you do an "Autodetect" via Operation Flashpoint Preferences. There are different profiles kept for single and multiplayer.

I tried that but it doesn't seem to work either. The default display settings are being set to 1024*... which is fine to play on my 19". It's just weird that everytime I try to launch the game the graphics get all weird. I never had the problem with Win2K and my old crappy Radeon VE. Now that I got WinXP Pro and a Radeon 8500 it seems that my system is shitting to bed! Games play fine under normal conditions but the multiplayer option would be nice to have, especially since I already finished the game! BTW, I also have Flight Sim 2002 that will be launched and played through GameSpy just fine... making me think that it has nothing to do with my system but rather the game itself.

Let me know if you have any other suggestions,

    Thanx for your help,
    Sam

Try lowering ythe refresh rate of your monitor under the "Adapter" settings of your video...
Now, what happened to my beer?
