Anyone interested in playing a mini campaign about the movie, "RED DAWN?"
They had a Red Dawn Marathon on last night.
And any war flick you watch.
You think, "Hmmmm? Can I do that in OFP?"
So before I start.
I thought I would ask the OFP Community.
Get everyones opinon.
BUT.., This won't be an "OFF the WALL Team" Production.
Just mine!
I would try to make downloads as little as possible.

Man, "Red Dawn" is some gun nut's wet dream. What a funny movie. I like the idea though, I think I saw the same marathon.

I saw the marathon on last night, it kinda reminded me of flashpoint resistance I am sure that it is more than possible in ofp. In fact, I think it would be ideal in ofp...we just need a midwest-style map and it could be made.

I was part of a duo that tried to do the same thing with the Target: America Mod. Long story short, real life got in the way, but i had the story worked out and finished the campaign. Its actually a doable thing, but first you need some resistance fighters that would simulate the ragtag feel better than a standard issue pair of camos.

PS. Though the acting wasn't great, that was one of my favorite war movies.

Several things. Red Dawn was a movie based on a group of what looked like teenagers that could stand in front of an entire brigade and pwn them all without wasting ammo. I am a little against the idea of this and just make a new island and some resistance with metallica shirts with ski masks and call them american guerillas.

No, I know what you all mean! I live in Colorado, and the scenes they shot weren't really in the mountains at all (except for a few) It would be great to have a campaign/mod like this. I can't do diddly squat with modding, except for missionmaking in the "basic" mode, storylines, and concepts/ accuracy.
We could simulate one in the Pacific northwest on a fictional island off the coast of Washington. We would need a LOT of stuff to be made, but it could work.

Well in the mid-west. Alot of kids would be thought to hunt. So making your shot count was instilled into them. Cause you may not get another shot.

Yea I agree that we need a different island for it.
But I thought using civilians at first.
Then have them later start wearing Edge's Retextured Guerillias.

But I may do this!
And keep the dowloads down as low as possible.
