    I'm afraid this is all that you can expect from me, when it comes to this island. I had plans for some great new features, but no time to make them all. Still, I hope I created quite enjoyable product, so download and have lots of fun.

    A few notes from developers diary.... (make sure to read the full readme):

    SFX added:

    Town Layouts modified:
    - Khandahar - major remake of buildings placement, overall polycount in th area should be decrased now -> less lag... hopefully...
    - Annar Dareh - mosque 2 and several other buildings added, placement changed and optimized in SW part of the town. The town looks more like people actually lived in there...
    - Charikar - mosque 2 and a couple of market stalls added
    - Herat - fixed the cliff with ladder and added another one, fixed height of a few houses
    - Baghlan - some buildings shifted to W, due to the new road, fuel station added
    - Mazar-e-Sharif - a few buildings replaced next to government building

    Remade the road from Airport, thru Annar Dareh, Baghlan all the way to Khandahar. It's an asphalt road now. Some rocks and trees had to be moved around a little bit... due to the new road.
    Some market stalls added in the cities - but only a few to keep the lag down. More are available from Mission Editor if needed.
    2 new large buildings and 1 new mosque.
    All trees replaced with desert RES trees from fighter.
    All pools removed. No rivers, no forests - and don't ask for'em. :P
    Unfinished bridge in the NW - removed.
    Various support points added - you can heal at hospitals and repair vehicles in garages.
    Some flickering rocks moved around from the slopes.
    Proper LON/LAT values set - admire the stars over Afghanistan the way they appear in RL.
    Additional optimizations and fixes to models.
    Many other tweaks and improvements....

    Map edges... stay clear of them...

    Missions
    Make sure to check out these excellent missions made for these map:

    The Last Fight 3 - by Sanctuary. An "instant firefight" type mission, taking place in 4 random locations. As USMC squad leader, hold your positions at the crash site until extraction arrives.
    Dynamic Afghanistan - by honchoblack, tacrod & Sanctuary. As Russian VDV Airborne squad leader, liberate Afghanistan from terrorism. It's a campaing in a single mission with dozens of diffrent tasks to perform and incredible replayability factor.
    Village Patrol - by Winters. It's a 1-9 player co-op patrol mission with an additional 5 man playable OPFOR and can also be placed in your SP missions.
    Convoy Security - by Winters. Single player / 1-12 player co-op mission. Provide security for the convoy supplying the US bases in Afghanisan.
    Search&Rescue by Pred - ***A-10 pilot has gone down behind enemy lines . Aid in his evac & then give them russians a suprise of there own. Quite good SP mission.

    Kooky -

    i can play "Dynamic Afghanistan" with the new maps, but my mission is not tight to object id´s , missions which use object id´s as reference i guess will need an update, since new buildings and terrain objects are inserted, if not AG_smith succeded in keeping the old ids, but i think that is virtually impossible, once you add new objects, the highres bis replacement islands have the same problem
