High-Res CWC Tanks and Vehicles

Hi guys,

I'm new over here (eventhough Flashpoint belongs to my favourite games since 2001) and wanted to show you some of my work on high resolution textures of the old CWC tanks and vehicles. My aim is to give those veterans a new and photorealistic look, so that they can even compete with newer inoffical addons ;)

The first ones are complete:

CWC Abrams (click on thumbnail to enlarge)

further stuff is coming along nicely for example the Ural-Truck

I hope to release all this stuff as some kinda replacement mod, as soon as the majority of the old CWC vehicles is complete.

looks nice! a good possibiliy for those who want a low-poly Y2K3 biggrin_o.gif

well as far as I know y2k3 doesn't contain high-res versions of those vehicles, does it? I haven't downloaded it yet, because of my internet-connection, but the screenshots on the hp still show the original CWC vehicles:

That is a very good idea.

The textures on the BIS Abrams are looking really great, this model had a real need of a texture update .

A high res retexturing project is a very good alternative to "update" the visual appearence of OFP.

SILESIAN began to do something like this, and it was already very good.

i think the best would be if they are made so that they just replace the old stuff (replacing .pbo files)

this is something ive actually waited for a long time...

maybe you could in a later stage retexture the basic soldiers too?

so thet we can get a more "modern" or "high res" look without changing the units in the config smile_o.gif

would be totally awsome smile_o.gif

About replacing units or vehicle without having to use a replacement config, Hit_Sqd_Maximus had an interesting project running.

I am not sure if he is always working on it.

well that's actually what I'm doing here ;)

I "patched" the original data.pbo with my textures.
