Most of us Germans will never wear Lederhosen.
This funny stuff comes from Bavaria (Bayern) and it`s their traditional Clothing.

Are you trying to tell me that you and your father never wore clothes like that during the weekends highlight - the sauerkraut dinner:

LoL, very nice thread, prejudices about german clothing

You won't find Lederhosen in other parts than Bavaria

But, well, our food isn't bad at all, and I think it's great to see that there are markets in Britan for example
(Although I think that italian food is the best in the world )

If you have the chance, try all the Strudels (*g*, nice plural) you can get, I think Apfelstrudel and Topfenstrudel are the best

I used to go to the markets when I was posted to Germany.

    Fantastic.

Lol Central European Christmas markets are like those South American pan pipe players you see playing on the streets of every big city in Europe....They're everywhere

I gotta say I ain't keen on German food. The only thing I like is apfelstrudel with custard mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I prefer more Southern food, Italian, Spanish, French. Way more flavour. You Northerners don't know good food
Original OFP-er and 'old' on here, with little to no idea what's going on these days, so go easy on me. Cheers mate!

You are wrong of course! You germans need some "germanification" because we don't believe you are german enough.
Too many üs and you will be regarded as a Turk...

Perhaps we should return to an even older form of language... e.g. Thür und Thor.

Ohh, come on! That are our "Southerners" who do such silly things. They have the Oktoberfest, too. The rest of us is somehow unspectacular (ok, that explains alot regarding the souvenir factor).

And for the beer... there are around 5000 brands of beer in Germany such as...

...Herrenhäuser (Herri Hörnerbier --Herri horns beer; because of the day after; alternatively you can call it Friedhofsbeer (graveyard beer) because of the location of their spring.)

    ...Zwergenbräu (dwarf brew)

...Flensburger Weizen (yes, the North can, too&#33

A lot to do --let's drink it!
    Tempus Fugit.
