I never tried to install OFP on an Laptop, but that should work aswell.

There is one more thing you can try. Ask your friends if someone has an external CD Drive with USB Port. If so, you can attach the external Drive to youre Laptop. If youre CD Drive is the Problem, this should work. And maybe other people has other ideas?
EDIT:
There should be a special Driver package designed for youre Laptop. On Intel Website under support you should find that.
Do you have problems with other CD`s in youre Laptop?

No problem, Dave. But you should realy try an external Drive.
If the CD is not the problem another CD wan`t help.
But wathever you try, good luck on that.
