Thread: Crashes to windows with error message

  1. #1
    the other day i went down to the local pc store and bought an ati radeon 9800 pro...as u do.

    but now whenever i try to play flashpoint it comes up with an error message saying the following;

    cannot create 3d device;
    adapter0 (ati radeon 9800 pro) fullscreen
    resolution 1024x768, format x8r8g8b8/d24s8, refresh 75hz
    d3derr_outofvideomemory

    this is strange coz all my other games work ok...apart from the sound cuts out half way thru and the only way to get it back is to restert my pc. but that is a different problem. i have;
    768mb of ram
    ati radeon 9800 pro.
    infact hold on ill paste my dxdiag into here. Please Don't - Placebo.

    By all means post your system specs but don't post your dxdiag please, it's messy and usually pretty pointless

    If you did a search for "outofvideomemory" you would have found the answer, we encourage members to help themselves by helping themselves, thus "search before posting" is a forum rule

    The threads that searching would have found will say upgrade to 1.96 and use -nomap
    If someone reports an issue/complains about the Alpha etc, replying in the thread "dude it's an alpha" doesn't really help anyone! Point them to the Arma3 Alpha feedback tracker instead please!

    Please do not PM or Email me directly about your CD Key issues, follow the guidance in this thread instead.
