I just read the whole thing at the bottom of www.flashpoint2.com and it says

    OFP2 Will include DirectX9,
    dynamic lighting,
    dynamic shadows,
    modern weapons + vehicles,
    advanced colision detection system ect.

    This sounds awesome

That sounds awesome! I just hope BIS would explain the improved collision detection.

I believe dynamic shaows means objects casts shadows on other objects as well?
Sadness is just a phase that allways comes prior please.

    Yep.

And i hope they add a physics system, like ragdoll fx for the dead. I mean, every game has it yet, so it should be standard for games in 2005.

    Spoiler:

    And?

I mean what do you expect from a 2004/5 game, today you have to bring a bit if you wanna sell a lot.

Not to forget Pixel shaders are a must too

I agree with ShadowNX , by the time will be out these things will already be every game by then so its nothing new , OFP2 needs something else too ,but that it already has i guess , freedom to do so much that no game can deliver.

Yep the game itself is already perfect if the keep the freedom of OFP and fix the stuff bugging atm, like the multiple gunner positions, collision engine...and very important i wanna be able to walk in vehicles... play Joint Operations... awesome if you and a dozent others are in the Back of a Mi-26 firing trough the windows and the open cargo doors...running around in it...

Well, for a game like OperationFlashpoint 2, a HUGE island, dynamic shadows, lighting ect, I think that if they can pull it off it will be HUGE.

But think, games that have dynamic lighting/shadows arn't really "BIG" games like OFP.

OFP has a huge island, and filling it with advanced collision, DX9, dynamic shadows/lighting.... <drool>

OFP currently supports large islands up to 102km...
And where is that band that so vauntingly swore, That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country shall leave us no more? Their blood has washed out their foul footstep's pollution.
    No refuge could save the hireling and slave, From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave;
And the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph doth wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
(3rd stanza of the Star-Spangled Banner)
