Thread: Troubles with modified config.cpp

  1. #1
i want to edit the mailman's Alpha Spetznaz for my personnal use. I want to change the weapons. So i decompressed the pbo and opened the config. I made my changes, compressed everything to make a new pbo. Then i loaded OFP, everything worked fine. But when i go in the editor to use the modified units they do not appear anymore in the units list.
It's the first time i try to modify a config.cpp so it's sure that i miss something important ***but i looked for two hours on BIS forum and same on OFPEC and i found nothing that could help me.
links to the original and the modified config.cpp:

    Original config.cpp

    Modified config.cpp

i also tried (after looked how the config was done) to add "new" units. So maybe i also made wrong modifications on it.
Hope someone could give me an answer. Thx.

I tested the modified config and everything worked,Are you sure that you are looking in "EAST" - "mailman's-Units"?

first, thx to have a look at it. Yes, i looked for "east/mailman's-Unit" but the problem is this category doesn't appear anymore whith my modified config file.
is there a link between the problem i have and the compression tool i use to remake the pbo??
i thought of it because i don't get any error message or CTD so it's like the pbo doesn't exist...
    i'm using "PboTool v1.01a".
could you tell me which tool you use to make pbo and maybe could you send me the modified pbo (if it's not too big) to see if it works on my pc?
