Thread: Texview problem

  1. #1
I am having an extremely frustrating problem with Texview all of a sudden. I moved the folder that Texview was in and Windows lost the file association for pacs and paas i.e. I cant double click on those files and automatically open them with Texview anymore. I have to open texview first, then open the files through texview instead of just double clicking on them in windows explorer. This wastes WAY too much time.

I tried changing the file associations, but Texview wont show up in the list of useable programs, even when i click browse and locate the exe. Anyone ever seen this before or know how I can fix it (besides smashing my pc to bits which I was very close to doing ).

If you open the explorer and select the rightest entry (something like "extra"?) there has to be anything like "folder options" (sorry don't know the english version)
There is a register named file types(?), where all file types and actions are listed.

Go to paa/pac and change the path for the "open" action to your texview path

What you want to do is possible, depending on your imagination and the way you implement it
