1.94b - cannot run from 'pinned' startmenu

The file works fine when I go to my folder and double click on it its just not working from my pinned startmenu.

This is a pain as I go in and out of OFP testing addons all the time - it means I have to have an extra folder open.

I had the old 'resistance.exe' pinned and that worked find, the problem comes with the resistancebeta.exe.


I have OFP in

c:\games\operation flashpoint

rather than the default directory so maybe this has something to do with it.

You mean, your shortcut doesn't work? No XP is not really a problem, it works quite well with OFPR, check that your working directory for the link/shortcut is proper...

I am unsure of what your issue is, right click on whatever pinned link you have and check it's paths etc..

EDIT: Did you manually move hte game? If so, open the registry and change the pathS accordingly there.

path in both startmenu is

c:\Games\OperationFlashpoint

in the registry under

LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Codemasters

C:\Games\OperationFlashpoint

I have not moved it to the best of my knowledge it just won't work when I click on it on the StartMenu 'pin' bit.

A shortcut placed on the desktop works though

Make a copy of that shortcut on the desktop, and copy it to your start menu...
