Battlezone

I"m wondering if anyone else has ever played or had this game. Battlezone, it was released in around 1998... and I'm looking to get a game together with some other OFP people. So far I know that Harnu has played it, and even a few of the Bohemia Interactive developers have.... so have you?

Yup, damn good game. Still playing BZII when I get the chance. Hope more people have played alteast one of them, maybe we could get a game up for all time sake

Wow! I can't belive people are still playing Battlezone(2000)...
Ahh memories of the tag rifle and giant mechs *** *** I must say the 1st one was much better then the 2nd... ***

Hmmm the 1st game had an interesting Cold War-ish story...on the moon!

Yes, I have to totally agree with that. I was asking Robert E. Waring, lead designer of The Red Odyssey - nice fellow - he agreed that Battlezone II was truly a dissapointment, and that he and Activision were looking into developing a Battlezone III, but because of the then huge copyrights from almost every direction (Pandemic, Red Odyssey, Activision, Atari, N64) - I can't remember the name of the N64 company developer, but the game was Battlezone 64: Rise of the Blackdogs. Anyhoo, they figured it was more trouble than it was worth... which was a shame.

I really want to see a Battlezone MOD for Operation Flashpoint...

Edit: Also, someone developed a ZFS decrypter and I have all the sound files if someone is interested in making a Battlezone MOD :P

I have played the demo of battlezone 1 and it was a very good game but i never had the full game.

battlezone 2 is a great game, everyonce ni a while i reinstall it and give it a go. The graphics are still impressive, and the game play is great.. to bad they never made a 3rd, or any game like it.... (goes to find BZII disk)

Had BZ 1 briefly, played it for an even briefer period, and deleted it after briefly considering it a decent game

I just tried to reinstall the first Battlezone on this computer, but when I go to start the first combat training exercice, I craps out. Anyone know how to get it working?

Just tried it again, but on software instead of hardware acceleration, working now. ***Doesn't look that good though *** ***Can you get it to install on newer computers? I tried on this a while ago but was never able to.

Just curious without having to make a new topic. Any of you ever play the Crusader games? ***Crusader : No Remorse and Crusader : No Regret. ***They we're really good futuristic action/arcade/third persion shooter (Dunno what you would call it)

Yeah! I played the first Crusader, No Remorse (I think). I loved the way you could blow up all the stuff like PCs, machines, etc...
