I like it this way.
Its so much fun to run to a window, here a shotgun, turn around and see this paniced civilian trying to reload that gun as fast as he can... And then just place a nice large hole in the middle of his head.
Uhm... Am i sick
?

Quite possibly Mr Espectro.
Anyway, I recieved my lovely DVD-style case and shiny happiness inducing disc in the post today (1st copy of Red Hammer in Hungary?) and have been playing it almost non-stop since I got home from work (about 5 hours now, I worship at the altar of Pizza Hut). The missions are harder ... and longer! I have finished lots of the missions as the only man standing, shedding a tiny tear for my oppos. But the missions are great!
Highlights so far: Sniping the pilots of two Chinooks before going 'Doh!' as I find the Strela launcher. Oh, and the Shore Bombardment in the 'Kill 4 vulcans using a toothpick' mission.
Right, now to stop those nasty Americans from re-acquiring Malden. d*amn colonial(ist)s!

Red Hammer is a #### of a lot harder! I just got it and on the first mission(should be easy right?) everyone in my squad dies and Im the only one left at the fuel station. I still have to go to the town and take out the rest of the civilians by myself with an injured arm. Its not fun.

i think that red hammer is very fun..not that hard..

I know I found that mission a bit challenging. I have only just done it!

Yea, I also just completed that mission, got 2 stars for it
It was darn hard at the fuel station (for a first mission).
But its easy at the town u arrive to later on. Killed all 3 of them myself.

The fuel station? That wasn't bad. It's me and #5 left now.
I arrived at Tyrone (I think that's the name), saw the dead Russians, as per cut scene, and crawled in towards 1st house on extreme left.
You only saw 3? I saw 3 prone, 1 in a house and another 1 or 2 lurking about.
And this is where I'm stuck, because the AI are accurately killing me with one shot from a Czech shotgun at long distance without a clear line of site.
I'll crack it eventually but here's an unrealistic example of where the AI and weapon model are both on steroids, IMO.

I think I had about 3 teammates left after Fuel station, and one bought it pretty soon after we hit Tyrone. We were pinned on the ground and I couldn't see any NME's, but did see one muzzle flash in the first garden behind a wall, and contrary to my usual stay low and play smart tactic, I got up, ran towards the garden, and pitched a grenade as far as I could. It hit dead on target and when I got there, 5 Civ's in a heap, and we had to get two or three more in houses
Next mission was great, long and cautious, not amazlingly hard though, at least not the final airport assault. So far, a very good 5 pounds worth

The Red Hammer missions are great, and I have enjoyed all of them so far, though I particularly enjoyed the ones after the retreat from Everon? (I think, its Everon anyway).
I definately think that they are more challanging, though not necessarily harder, anyhow just wait until you get to Mission 13 I think, commanding a squad has some new fun elements.
