Thread: Radeon 9600 256 ddr

  1. #1

    Talking

I just bought a new comp.

    ADM Athlon XP 2200+
    Asrock k7s8x
    Kingston 512 DDR
    Samsung 40G 7200 rpm
    Radeon 9600 256 DDR

then I start playing OFP with the new stuff... I get to play about 15 mins and my screen freezes and some weird gfx errors (lines and some other weird stuff)...

It did this 3 times, on the third reboot, my windows didnt start at all there was just some static colours and no text or nothing...

I'm just wondering if it's OFP that doesnt support the Radeon 9600 or summit??

Plz anyone who've had a similar problem your tips are more than needed

    Good bye SWAF.

Rage Frost said on this thread that ATI released new drivers last week, on the 15th, for what it's worth.

    Does your Windows start now?

Maybe you should run ScanDisk to make sure your disk is not in error at this point.

now I need to uninstall the current Radeon drivers and installed the newest drivers immediately...

..or use the latest unofficial drivers.

I got a Radeon 9200 256DDR and I aint had no problems with it. I usually find getting the latest drivers for everything fixes quite a few problems. My windows mouse used to show through ofp, and I had to ALT+TAB out and then back in, but now that the new driver for my graphics card is installed I dont get that anymore.

    Hope you find a solution,
    Waterman.
