Would be really great to see an option to change camo (Woodland, desert, arctic, etc..)
Which would just require addon makers to make more then 1 texture

i think it could be done now, like bas did with the armpatch change texture, only thing is the texture has to be in your mission folder.
the set texture thing
I like it!![]()
This day in OFP history: May 8, 1985: Nato forces push Russians soldiers from Morton.
this is a great idea... to just define some stuff in the config and then its done. Addons wont have to have all camos, just the more camos u provide the more camos the mission editors can choose from. This will make many things way more simple.![]()
Good idea, but lets take it a step further. What about the ability to change into a dead enemy soldiers uniform while in game? Or even steal some civilian clothing while trying to escape from a pursuing enemy?
In some of the missions I wanted to make, they involved playing a guy who has to change into civillian clothing so he could operate in a town which had the enemy looking for him at checkpoints and road blocks.
\"I told you this place was weird!\"
my thoughts.
since there are multinational forces addons made, how about an uniform scheme?
a basic BIS soldier would wear whatever camo texture it wears, but if users want to, they can have something similar to our current customface, except for the whole uniform.
so when clans have match, each clan can choose its uniform and use it. on the otherhand, if some cheater deletes player info, the basic BIS camo will still be there to work as camo.
maybe BIS can go a step further and have XML definition made for clans. a clan can have one JPG/PAA file to use for their uniform, and by referecing it, can save bandwidth problem of downlading eveyone else's camo.
maybe this can be done by adding a LOD? that is textured upon some file choice?

SOunds like a good idea. ***In addition, maybe other elements could be selected. ***Like maybe helmet/hat type, shoes, and maybe some other things too.
But instead of using the init field, it'd be nice to just have select boxes, like there is now for side, unit type, etc.
Lets take a look at söldner's way of solving this! The number of combinations or unique looks on your soldier is over 60.000!"

a way to get around could be OFP2 checking file name and file propert/signature once in awhile.
