Hey all, this is my first post here but I usually check out this forum everyday from work.
I have a question dealing w/textures. I modeled a plane in My 3d app and I learned how to export from ***that to 02 with the textures intact. My texture file is a 32 bit, 1024 by 1024 pixel file that looks great in the app but in 02, even though it is mapped correctly, it looks like crap!
***I can't export 3ds. It has to be either dxf, obj or vrml and then I import that file into 3dsmax for export to 3ds.
I have been using vrml2 - is vrml2 the problem here? Does this format degrade the texture size too much?
What is the best export option for me?
