There are many topics about this, search the forum!

The tool I use to convert my files is DBpoweramp:

You will also need the ogg codec:

You don't HAVE to use .ogg's. I'm not sure about .mp3's, haven't tried, but you can use .wav's if you desired. Just thought i'd mention that because some people find it hard (for some reason) to ind something to convert to .ogg
    Can't believe I'm still here.

    Did I understand?
    .wav working in OFP? Really?

Yes, I would not suggest you use it though. The file sizes are generaly larger than .ogg.

The DBPowerAmp works just fine...but I suggest getting Wavesurfer http://www.speech.kth.se/wavesurfer/download.html

The only reason I suggest it...because PowerAmp is one of those prog's that likes to take over your comp...changing icons, showing in sys tray, adding tons of shortcuts, etc....I know you can change all that back but its just kinda annoying. In my opinion Wavesurfer is much easier to work with...but thats just me.

Maybe true, but I like all the information that I get of an audio file when selecting it by using DbPowerAmp.
Both programs are fine, just try them with the links RED gave you.
