in the mission Operation Firelord the person that made the cutscenes had a camera that was in someones view. like through his eyes, i know this because the camera was moving fast and slow like a unit would do when he's running and slowing down.
im not mistaking this for a camcommit command because this was to real. how would one do this?
second question. Also at the same time the person had a recording graphic at the bottom of the screen. u know
<span style='color:red'><span style='font-size:12pt;line-height:100%'><ul>[*]recording[/list]</span></span>
i have never seen this anywhere else before...
if u dont know how to do this download the mission here

Cant you just depbo it and look? I dont have it so I dont know.
-
u obviously dont have much experience.
when u pbo stuff, it codes them and u can't decode them... i have already tried.

Actually only new missions (1.2 and up) from BIS are coded... Try depbo on some of the old missions like bomberman and youll see the scripts. Just like the config.bin in new vehicles and weapons, that has been coded too.
I though Firelord was old enough to not have been coded, but I may be wrong.

I'd have to look at Firelord again but doesn't the "recording" have to do with the TV overlay mode of the camera?

hi fellas ;)
first question: DevilChaser (the guy who directed "Operation Firelord") actually used the camSetTarget, camSetRelPos and camCommit commands to "shatter" the camera (to simulate a handycam). He just alter the target of the camera using some random values (within some reasonable boundaries) and commit. Repeat this and you have a camcorder-like camera movement.
second question: DevilChaser used a flashing "REC"-String (not an icon or picture) on top of the TV-Set overlay to fake a recording handycam view. Just use a looped TitleText ["REC", "plain down", 0.5] command to blink the string ... simple and effective.

yeah but how did he get it in the bottom right hand corner? how did he get it to become red? or is all this built into the game?
