Occupation (2): how to end mission?

I've been trying to finish this mission for weeks now. I get to the final base and kill every enemy. Then I call in the friendly tanks and successfully repel the second wave of enemy infantry. I have even skirted the area surrounding the base in every direction to make sure all enemies are destroyed.

But the mission never ends. The briefing map shows the "attack base" objective and "hold base objective" as not completed.

I read somewhere about a waypoint problem that causes enemy units to get stuck to the NE of the base. So I have tried scouting out about a mile to the NE with no luck.

Is there some secret to ending this mission?

This has been discussed quite a bit. The problem is the escaping troops. The enemy can high tail it out of their pretty quick making it hard to find them even with a 1 mile search.

I have now played this mission at least another 20 times making sure I've killed all soldiers. After the chateau objective is complete, I've run across one patrol between the chateau and the main enemy base.

I killed them all.

I then positioned soldiers to guard advance from the southern end of the base while others attacked from the forest in the north. I stayed high on a hill to the NE with my Dragunov and watched to make sure not a single soldier escaped. None did.

When the second small wave came, I destroyed every last one with the HEAT rounds from the BMP. I am certain that no enemies escaped.

Since I have done this a few dozen times now, I am wondering if anyone else was able to advance past this mission in a reasonable amount of tries. There seems to be a major bug causing the mission not to end. I have never had to use the 'endmission' cheat in any other CWC or Resistance mission, but I am left with no other option (other than just playing this mission for the rest of my natural life.)

Sorry to disappoint you but I've played the Resistance campaign 3 times now and each time this mission finished completely. There is a HUGE group of Soviet infantry that come from the left (looking down at the base from the hill). And I do mean huge, probably 20-25 infantry soldiers. They don't always arrive right away, takes them a few minutes, but you have to kill them as well to end the mission.

What's great is that this mission and the one right after it (where you have to repel the Soviet armor) are completely dynamic. I left my cargo truck on the hill and filled it with ammo and in the next mission it was precisely where I left it, along with the ammo. Made my SVD have virtually limitless ammo : )

Try to search the area with a tank, that you control by map through all the map squares. Like said before, one of the enemy soldiers has escaped. No bug, I had the same troubles

I love this mission too; actually it's one of my favorites! But for some reason I just can't get it to end ever. I've tried about a billion times now with different tactics each time.

Guess I'm just having some bad luck tracking down every last soldier. Not a big deal, but it is the first time I've had to use the endmission cheat so my pride is now bruised!

I also finished the Resistance campaign for the first time yesterday. I don't know whether to celebrate victory or cry about the end of such a killer game!

There are hundreds of player made missions out there and active squads and teams for some great online games.

Can someone tell me the end mission cheat?

I toohave been stuck on this mission for days. After taking the first objective I have taken out the two squads of six that patrol to the West of the enemy base & then proceeded to postion my squad encircling the base (under hold fire order) while I am positioned in to the North. I order the squad to open fire & engage at will while I pick off RPG soldiers with the Dragnov & call in the tanks. I also wait for the wave of soldiers from the NE to be almost on top of the base before I order my men to open fire. In all cases I am positive no enemy soldiers escaped & have even spent hours making a thorough search. I have played this mission 20+ times & can never get the seize & hold base or defend objective to mark as compeleted.

Don&#39;t tell me a soldier has escaped as I have allowed my squad to attack while I have simply watched from a vantage point & I am sure every one of the enemy was taken down. Is it just troops to deal with or are there any enemy vehicles to contend with, I have heard read somewhere about a pathfinding bug for BMP&#39;s on this level?

To end the mission press the left shift key and the minus key on the numpad at the same time, then release and type &#39;endmission&#39;. I&#39;ve heard if you do this on too many missions you will get a dishonorable discharge though&#33;

I still can&#39;t get the mission to end without the cheat, and I&#39;ve played it at least 50 times now.

Check mapcoordinates &#39;EE33&#39; (zoom in map) if you dont want to cheat. After you killed everything that moves in the camp, including the 2 incoming reinforcement squads.

Catch is, two BMP unload 2 Squads of reinforcements and
then disappear again. They are stuck on a steep hill
exactly west of Dolina (EE33) where &#39;your house&#39; is (where the campain begins) Once you&#39;ve destroyed this two BMP&#39;s,
the mission will end normal. Go figure.

Caution though: At your house, there are also waiting an additional BMP, T72 and T80. (There are more tanks on the map, but those are not relevant for the mission to end, if you go to destroy them;..but your score will rise&#33; But you *must* be cautious to not leave the &#39;boundaries&#39; of the mission area..or you&#39;ll blow up.)

It seems to be an &#39;pathfinding&#39; error in mission design.
The BMP should try to wind up the road to the house, instead of trying the more &#39;direct&#39; route..
