Machine gun sounds not working properly

on some addons, like a mounted pk i downloaded, some machine guns, and the ofpec little birds, i am unable to hear the fast firing machine guns fire quickly, i simply hear what sounds like the bullet passing through the air, can anyone enlighten me on how i can fix this? thanks.

It's probably the sound file that comes with the gun.

If you have a M.G. that uses single shot sounds played over and over, the rate of fire has to be slow enough for the sound to play before the next shot is fired. If not, all you get is silence. That's how the M60 and PK sounds work. With faster MG's you need a single sound that plays a burst of rounds, not just one, but you still encounter the same problem with the single shot sound.

Anyone know how to fix that?
